Many years ago (like, 20), someone I know went on a student exchange to northern Argentina. When she returned to Australia, she proudly produced a live tortoise FROM HER JACKET POCKET; she had smuggled it all the way home in her jacket. I was completely horrified. Unsurprisingly, it died not long after arriving here :(
