Fotos del sur: Coñaripe

Fotos del sur: Huilo Huilo

Huilo Huilo is a biological reserve we visited one day. It has the most spectacular waterfall, of which there are no photos because they didn't go one inch of the way to capturing it. I've included a few other photos of the drive there and back as well.

Dihueñe salad - these are little fruit things that you knock off tree branches with a stick - a classic Mapuche food. Pretty bland by themselves but good with other flavours, though the texture is a little spongy for my liking.
Preparing a rico almuerzo, and drinking mate of course.
 The end result!! Mmmmmm
 Meanwhile outside...

Fotos del sur: las carreras

I went for this horse because he had the most beautiful colouring, even though he was acting pretty psycho as he did his warm-up laps.

The opposition.
 My horse won!

 The race!

Mujer del campo

The abuela's land looks onto a massive lake
... and snow-covered volcanos.

Most of these photos are taken on sunny days/sunny moments, but to be honest, it rained most days and this is what we did:

We also ate fresh lake salmon every night. It was no big deal. (This may be a lie.)
